hey, i’m alice.

In June of 2018, my life changed forever when my Dad died and I lost the support system I had as a musician and in my adult life.

I had been lucky to have a thriving trajectory as an artist and my father was my biggest fan, always cheering from the sidelines.

But when he passed away I found working on music to be a greater challenge than it had been and even struggled to listen to music.

Despite the challenge, I could feel musical ideas churning within me and I knew that letting them out was both part of my grief process and necessary to my health and wholeness as an artist and human. But without that supportive person that believed in me, I found myself struggling to complete the ideas that I had and, ultimately, struggling to believe in myself.

Through my own education, self-exploration, and the help of mentors and teachers I’ve pushed through those blocks and have now completed many full compositions and continue to write and collaborate with other musicians.

Finishing my first collection of songs was absolutely transformative to me and essential to my growth as a person.  I know that I wouldn’t be here today without the help I had along the way and want to offer support to other  songwriters as they work through their own blocks.

Getting stuck doesn’t mean anything is wrong with you. We all need coaches and teachers to help us to the finish line.

Here are just a few other fun facts about me…

I grew up in the southern suburbs of Chicago, a town at the end of the Metra train line. I spent all four years of high-school devoted to Marching Band in the drumline, loved musicals, theater, and sang in the choir all through college. Touring with my college choir was my first experiences as a traveling musician.

I love all things mystical and pull a tarot card every morning with my coffee. My superpower is being a good listener and helping people discover their gifts.

I am currently working through an MFA in music and composition and have devoted years to studying voice and piano along with honing my skills as a small business owner in the music industry (yes, being in a band is a small business).

I’m a Cancer sun, Libra moon, and a Capricorn rising and obsessed with human psychology, human connection, and the power of the mind.

One of my favorite things I love about the music industry as I learn more about recording engineering is discovering the magic of electricity and sound waves.
